Great place. Best brewery food that I have ever had. I had the Brussel Sprouts salad and my wife had the Portobello Caprese salad. Both were excellent. The stuffed jalapeno sampler app was the best.
I would have tried a different beer and I would have order an entree if an actual menu ( aside from the happy hour menu ) was presented to me but I opted not to when I saw the bartender silently point at my empty glass with his index finger, so I asked for the bill.
I've been looking forward to giving this new place a try so I went straight to the bar where 8 others were and found a spot.
Great atmosphere, GREAT food, great beer, really nice and fast service. Can't wait to come back. The nachos are amazing. My bf said the steak was the best he's ever had and he loved the steamed oysters!
The young man shucking the oysters was a lot friendlier, he made eye contact, smiled and describe the sauces then said Enjoy, I did.

First time to Big Oyster Brewery. Very good happy hour with excellent staff. Margaux at the bar is excellent, knows her stuff and friendly.
Good beer selection. The kolsch was delicious as was the Vienna lager. I am not an IPA fan so, I didn’t bother with any but, there seems to be a beer for everyone. My wife enjoyed the wit beer. It was flavorful but lacked any sweetness. The food was good. The asparagus and artichoke salad was good but could have used a candied nut or sliced apple. The oyster stew was tasty as was the scallop poboy. The pizza boy could have used a remoulade or some sort of sauce though. All in all, it is a good place. The service was good as well.
The happy hour menu advertised drafts 3.50$ I was charged full price.

After a minute 2 menus were placed in front of me, no one greeted me no one introduced themselves. One menu for the happy hour the other for the draft beer descriptions. After sometime the bartender stood in front of me and asked; ' whatcha havin?'. I picked a draft beer and order an appetizer. I did not like my beer but drank it anyway because by this point I realized that no one was going to check/interact or engage with me.
Beers are excellent, 15 on tap today- 9 of which are IPAs, which is phenomenal.
