I have attempted to give this place another chance, after few disappointing visits. But this last visit will be the last. 5 customers at the bar, 2 bartenders and basically had to beg for a beer. Not once, but every beer. These idiots had a great time sitting down at the end of the bar watching TV, playing on cell phones and eating. Customer service is long gone from the minds of the Crooked Hammock. We will not inconvenience you again with our presence. I should have been reimbursed for the cash I spent on Uber to get here. The next night we hit Agave, what a 180. You should have your staff watch these bartenders for a night.
Love the Hammock! Been there a bunch and it never disappoints. Shane behind the bar took care of us in New Years Day and did a great job. Food is always amazing and atmosphere is cool especially Summer time.

This place is awesome if you have kids. Both times I have been was 4 adults and 4 kids...we sat outside, had good food, good beer and the kids got to play and burn off some steam. They also have corn whole set up for folks to play also.
Before I explain the reasons why I only gave them three stars let me explain the good points. They're family friendly environment with a play area and hammocks. The place is definitely nice with a good atmosphere. The staff is also very good and pleasant. Had great service while we were there. That's great and all. Where I was left unimpressed was with the most important parts of the whole place: the beer and the food. I've tried a few Crooked Hammock beers at events and was never impressed, so I decided to give them a real actual go, and try several of them at their brewery. I still wasn't personally impressed; they were okay. I tried about 6 different ones and only liked one. I didn't love it though. Then the food was a disappointing as well. A lot of breweries that also serve food, have really good food that's handmade there - or they have food trucks. Our food came out incredibly fast on a quite crowded night - red flag. Honestly the fried chicken I had on my salad looked and tasted like the frozen bagged chicken I can buy in the grocery store. I highly doubt in the little time it took for them to bring our food out, that any part of it was very fresh. I have a sneaking suspicion it was not fresh considering the consistency of the breading on it, and especially, since the chicken later felt like I had a stone in my stomach all night, and then through the morning. I was incredibly surprised with how bad our food was, considering there's so many good places to eat in Lewes. I was incredibly disappointed. That being said this place wasn't awful - come here for a good time, a pretty place, and live entertainment. Personally I probably won't come back, but I would at least tell people to give it a try to enjoy live music and to have a nice place to bring their kids. The place did not suck, I think we just had a bad experience, and it just wasn't what I was personally looking for.
