Have been targeting stripers (almost) year-round in the inlet/surf for three years now. This is a place I frequented early on. Began to see that just about everything you might need is a bit more pricey at Bill's. Then they sold me rotten sand fleas. The guy cut me a 50% discount because they were a "little sluggish". Thanks, bud. Another time I timed my travel to arrive there 10 minutes before the posted closing time. Guy had already shut off the lights and was on the way out the door. He made it obvious how much I was inconveniencing him when I "asked" to just grab a couple small items. Huge pet peeve of mine. Posted hours are posted hours. It's ten minutes. Get a hold of yourself.
I come down to this area to vacation and surf fish every year. I needed line on two reels and had no bait. I ran into the shop and realized that that had been closed for 1/2 an hour. I said sorry and told them I would stop back tomorrow. They insisted that it wasn't a problem. They stayed for an extra half hour put line on both reels and got me the bait I needed. I thought they gave great customer service! (For those people who complained about them not staying open past closing time I think that is unreasonable to expect that. I work in retail and one of the worst things a person can do is push there way into the store as your closing acting like your time / life is of no value...... I was respectfull to both gentelmen and they were more than happy to stay late and take care of my needs)
