I bought my Passat 3 weeks ago and a friend of mine recommended D&T garage because they do free inspections. According to Google they open at 8 am. I went there at 9 am and they have arrived at 10 am. They have done the inspection for 15 minutes and I had to wait till 1 pm for a quote because the lady was "fighting" with the computer. She finally gave me a quote for changing the upper control arms on the front left wheel - 1.4 hours for $119.
I have decided to go ahead and went there on Thursday (08.24.2017) to make an appointment. They told me they will do it on Monday morning and the work will take them 1.7 hours = $144 :(
Been going there for 3 years honest old fashion people and won't run you into the poor house like other mechanics
Today I went there at 9 am. They arrived at 9:20 am. and they had no idea who I am and what have to be done but told me they will change the oil of 1 car and after that they will do my car. They were done with the oil change at 10:30 am. and without saying a word they parked other car on the platform. Asked what have to be done to the other car and the answer was brakes. I have left immediately because they have wasted my time.
