Enjoyed the Dockside burger. Watched the fairy dock and unload. My dogs liked the place. It was a long walk for my father who is handicap.
There is an indoor dining room, but out on the deck they have tables with umbrellas for seated service as well as a large bar area that you can sit or stand around. Full bar service, Crush cocktails on special, and they make a pretty good burger with excellent french fries on the side. No time to eat? They'll box it for your ferry ride.
Food was a 2/5 its self. ordered a shrimp po boy. Now I lived in Louisiana for a while and I know it wasn't going to be the same but it wasn't close. Plus bartender was uneducated. I asked for more Remoulade for my sandwich, he brings me ranch. Those two look nothing alike. GF got a orange alcoholic drink, that was 4/5 though. overall experience was not what I thought it was going to be or in my opinion was advertised as.
Crab Fries were awesome
On the Rocks is a great addition to the local restaurant scene. Obviously, a boon for travelers going in both directions, but not a bad place either to while away an hour or two with a fabulous view of the water, and watching the ferries come and go.
Convenient for travelers, good views
We were headed to Cape May for the afternoon on business, and a friend suggested we go early and leave our car in line for the ferry, and then go enjoy lunch out on the deck. What an excellent idea!
